Everyone’s eyes have been fixated on COVID-19 pandemic, which is one of the most serious challenges the world has faced since World War II. Countries around the globe are striving hard to restart their economy from the SARS-CoV-2 caused cliff-drop while, global warming, a deeper peril to our habitat on earth lies beneath the surface of this crisis. It is imperative that we take the road of further developing green energy to cope with the climate change.

This 2019 Silicon Valley US-China Smart, Green, Happy Cities Conference will build on wonderful insights learned at our 10th Anniversary Summit in August 2018 and subsequent Conferences. We will explore multiple dimensions of smart, green, happy City projects in Silicon Valley and China. We have invited a new set of experts to join and formally share their experiences, lessons learned and insights. We invite you to join this event, learn, share your own experiences and ask questions.

The seminar will start first panel session “Smart Energy” with speakers from Microsoft Cities and GEIRI North America, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). Then follow with second panel session “Smart Village and Global Experience in China”, speakers from UCGEC and IEEE China Smart Village Committee, Partner of FoundersX Ventures and Student of Environmental Engineering Science, UC Berkeley.

The US-China Green Energy Council (UCGEC, http://ucgec.org) is pleased to announce that the 2018 Seminar Series #1 “Smart/Green/Happy Cities Conference” will be held at 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm on November 9, 2018 in Palo Alto.
