On October 28, 2019, Dr. Steven Chu, the Nobel Laureate in physics and former US energy secretary, led a delegation from UCGEC to visit the China Association of science and technology. Wan Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the China Association for science and technology, met with the visiting delegation at the China Science and technology hall.

Xie Zhenhua, special representative for China's climate change affairs and President of the Institute of climate change and sustainable development of Tsinghua University, met with the delegation cordially.
On October 27-28, the 2019 International Clean Energy Conference was held in Beijing.
